Botanical Name: Quercus gambelii

Common Name: Gambel Oak, Rocky Mountain White Oak

Deciduous tree native to the Western US. Bark is rough and light grayish-brown. Leaves are deep green with whitish, hairy undersides. Wonderful fall color palette of golden yellow, orange, and red. One inch, egg shaped acorns appear in late summer to early fall.
