Common Name: Indonesian Lime, Makrut, Thai Lime
An evergreen fruit tree with a vigorous, upright habit. Blossoms are fragrant and white. The dark green leaves are strongly aromatic, and popularly used in cooking. Limes are small and round. Rind is bumpy and dark green. Flesh is light green, sour and flavorful. Harvest year round with highest yield in winter and spring. Needs protection from hard frost. Nearly thornless. Beyond edibility, parts of the plant are used in nontoxic household cleaners, shampoos, and medicine.
