An evergreen perennial that forms a creeping clump with upright, unbranched stems. Leaves are bright green, slender and sticky. Flared, tubular flowers are scarlet-red and velvety. Spring through fall blooms attract hummingbirds and other pollinators. Grows in damp locations and along stream beds in the wild. California native.
