About This Product

Botanical Name: Fremontodendron 'Pacific Sunset'

Common Name: Pacific Sunset Hybrid Flannel Bush, Fremontia

A fast-growing evergreen shrub or small tree with an upright, vase-shaped habit and broad, arching branches. Coarse, lobed gray-green foliage creates a rugged native texture, while large yellow flowers with strong orange-red coloring bloom profusely in spring. Effective as a specimen, screen, or dry garden focal point where it has full sun, well-drained soil, and space to develop. Once established, it is highly drought tolerant and performs best with low summer irrigation. Leaf hairs can irritate skin and eyes.
