About This Product
Botanical Name: Fremontodendron 'Ken Taylor'
Common Name: Ken Taylor Hybrid Flannel Bush, Fremontia
A compact evergreen shrub with a lower, spreading habit and dense, irregular branching. Lobed dark green to gray-green foliage has a soft, felty texture, and pendant cup-shaped yellow flowers with orange backs appear from spring into early summer. A useful selection for dry slopes, native gardens, habitat plantings, and smaller low-water landscapes where a bold flowering shrub is needed at a more manageable scale. Thrives in full sun with excellent drainage and low summer irrigation once established. Leaf hairs can irritate skin and eyes.
