Botanical Name: Magnolia denudata, M. hepapeta

Common Name: Yulan Magnolia

A deciduous tree with a pyramidal, semi-irregular form. Leaves are broad and dark green. In spring, fragrant flowers cover the branches before leaf-out. Flowers are large, cup shaped, and white, sometimes with purple-tinged bases. Seedy, cone-like fruits follow. Attracts birds.
