A perennial that forms grassy tufts of lush leaf blades. Variegated foliage is dark green with yellow to white edges. Leaves fade to white-green or yellow-green, depending on sun exposure. Spikes of small lilac flowers are followed by metallic black fruits. Blooms in late summer-early fall. Likes shade.
