An evergreen shrub with red, upright stems and a tall, bushy form. Slender, oval leaves are green with bright red new growth. Flowers are made up of pale pink and light yellow bracts that surround large, yellow cones. Blooms at branch tips in winter and spring. Long-lasting cut flower. Likes acidic soils. Does not tolerate phosphorous fertilizers.
