An evergreen shrub with upright stems and a rounded, bushy form. Finely textured leaves are light gray green and slightly hairy. This is a female selection with flowers composed of ruby-pink cones and pink-tinged bracts. Flowers bloom at branch tips in spring. Best color in full sun. Long-lasting cut flower. Likes acidic soils. Does not tolerate phosphorous fertilizers.
