A deciduous tree with an open branching habit and a rounded, flat-topped crown. Leaves are compound, feathery and mid-green. Foliage turns yellow in fall. Long, terminal panicles of golden-yellow flowers bloom in late summer. Rosy-pink, papery seed capsules follow.
