Common Name: Black Poui

A broad-canopied, semi-evergreen to deciduous flowering tree with a graceful, open habit and finely divided, fern-like green foliage. Large clusters of lavender-blue, trumpet-shaped flowers appear in spring to early summer, often before or with the new leaves, creating a strong seasonal display. Useful as a specimen, street tree, or flowering shade tree in warm-climate landscapes. Performs best with good drainage, full sun, and enough space for surface roots and seasonal flower drop.
