Botanical Name: Arctostaphylos glauca

Common Name: Bigberry Manzanita

A large, evergreen shrub or small tree with an open habit, smooth red bark, and broad gray-green leaves. White to pale pink winter flowers are followed by large red berry-like fruit valued by wildlife. Useful for dry slopes and native habitat plantings. Performs best with excellent drainage and minimal summer irrigation.
