An upright deciduous tree with a rounded crown. Palmate leaves divide into 5 to 9 pointed lobes. Foliage of rich olive-orange turns a dramatic crimson in the fall. Tolerates sun and heat well. Inconspicuous spring flowers are followed by pairs of samaras. Needs slightly acidic soil.
