Common Name: Arakawa Japanese Maple

A low-branching, broadly-rounded deciduous tree with palmate leaves that are divided into 5 to 9 pointed lobes. Green leaves turn golden yellow in the fall. Bark is rough and fissured. Inconspicuous spring flowers are followed by pairs of samaras. Needs slightly acidic soil.
