Small glossy green leaves pack into a low, evergreen to semi-evergreen mat on this spreading succulent perennial. Yellow star flowers appear in summer and feed small insects. It fills pots, wall pockets, and shaded rock edges with soft texture. Sun or bright shade, open soil, and moderate drainage keep the mat full without coarse growth.
