Common Name: Midnight Mexican Bush Sage, Velvet Sage

A semi-evergreen shrub that forms a robust, rounded clump. Dark gray-green leaves are lance-shaped, white and hairy below, and fragrant. Long, sweeping stalks carry two-lipped, bright purple flowers held in fuzzy, deep purple calyxes. Blooms from fall through spring in mild climates. Attracts pollinators and beneficial insects.
