Common Name: Irene Koster Western Rhododendron

A deciduous shrub with a mounding habit. Late spring bloom. Strongly fragrant, funnel-shaped flowers grow in globe-shaped trusses. Flowers are pale pink with a yellow blotch and dark orange spotting. Buds are striped dark pink. Attracts butterflies, bees and hummingbirds. Mid-green leaves are elliptic and leathery. Hardy to -15 degrees F.
