An evergreen shrub with an upright, spreading habit. Mid spring bloom. Funnel-shaped flowers grow in huge, globe-shaped trusses. Flowers are greenish-yellow with red-tinted centers. Buds are bright red. Attracts butterflies, bees and hummingbirds. Dark green leaves are elliptic and leathery. Hardy to 5 degrees F. Needs acidic soil, pH 4.5 - 6.0.
