Common Name: Fire Rim Rhododendron

An evergreen shrub with a rounded, compact habit. Mid spring bloom. Funnel-shaped flowers grow in large, dome-shaped trusses. Flowers are lemon yellow with frilly coral pink margins. Bright red buds. Attracts butterflies, bees and hummingbirds. Dark green leaves are elliptic and leathery. Tolerates heat. Hardy to -10 degrees F. Needs acidic soil, pH 4.5 - 6.0.
