Common Name: Edith Bosley Rhododendron

An evergreen shrub with an open, spreading habit. Mid spring bloom. Large, funnel-shaped flowers grow in dome-shaped trusses. Flowers are deep reddish purple with dark red spotting. Attracts butterflies, bees and hummingbirds. Olive green leaves are elliptic and leathery. Hardy to -15 degrees F. Needs acidic soil, pH 4.5 - 6.0.
