Botanical Name: Penstemon palmeri

Common Name: Scented Penstemon, Pink Wild Snapdragon

A self-sowing perennial with upright stems, multi-branching from the base. Gray-blue leaves are lance-shaped and oppositely arranged. Spikes of fragrant, hooded flowers are pale pink. Blooms in early summer. Very attractive to hummingbirds and other pollinators. Southwest native, including California. Loves dry heat.
