A deciduous tree featuring glossy, deep emerald green foliage that transforms to lustrous shades of scarlet and orange with the arrival of fall. Small, greenish white flowers may emerge on long stalks during spring, while they are not showy, they provide an important source of nutrition for local pollinators. Flowers are followed by dark blue fruits, attractive to local birds and wildlife. Makes an excellent shade tree, and companion to naturalized landscapes. Native to the Eastern US.
