A perennial shrub that forms a dense, upright bush or hedge. Evergreen in mild winters. Summer flowers and linear, gray-green foliage are aromatic. Plump, dark purple flower heads are topped with large, light purple, flag-like bracts. Attracts birds, bees and butterflies.
