Common Name: Black Mission Fig

A deciduous tree with a large, spreading habit. Leaves are large, deeply lobed and bright green. Bark is smooth and gray. Harvest first breba crop in early summer and main crop from late summer to late fall. Fruit is large. Skin is purple-black. Flesh is red, rich, and delicious. Self-fruitful. Well-adapted to California. Does well on the coast, though heaviest crops occur inland. 100 chill hours.
