Common Name: Variegated Carmel Creeper California Lilac

A low, spreading, evergreen California native shrub grown as a colorful groundcover. Glossy oval leaves are variegated lime green, deep green, and golden yellow, with the brightest yellow tones in warm, sunny conditions. Pale blue flower clusters appear in spring and provide seasonal value for bees and butterflies. Best with fast-draining soil, light shade in warmer inland sites, and occasional summer water once established.
