Botanical Name: Aloe ferox

Common Name: Cape Aloe, Bitter Aloe

A succulent that forms rosettes of fleshy, gray-green leaves with red-toothed margins. Large, extra showy, clusters of tubular flowers appear in bright orange-red. Forms a single trunk after about 10 years, with older leaves forming a "petticoat" under the rosettes.
