A deciduous tree with a rounded to oval crown. In spring through summer, red twigs and branchlets are adorned with small, lobed, palmate leaves in glaucous green. Fall foliage is bright scarlet. Showy spring flowers in greenish-yellow. 'Autumn Flame' is a male selection and does not produce fruit. Native to Eastern North America.
