A tender perennial or annual with a compact, upright, clumping growth habit. Gray-green foliage is finely lobed and ferny. Wiry stems carry frilly, pincushion-like flowerheads in lavender-blue. Blooms from midsummer through fall. Attracts butterflies. A good cut flower.
