A deciduous perennial shrub with an upright form that spreads wider by rhizomes. Large flowers display white crepe-papery petals and poofy yellow stamens. Blooms in spring and summer. Attracts pollinators. Leaves are gray-green, narrowly lobed, and rough to the touch. Native to Southern California.
