An upright evergreen tree with spreading, pendulous branches. Vivid green, oval leaves are leathery in texture, and slightly toothed at the margins. Intricate, star-shaped greenish white flowers are available in abundance at branch tips, from late spring into mid-summer. Flowers are folowed by pinwheel shaped fruits. Attracts beneficial insects.
