Common Name: Purity Japanese Andromeda, Lily of the Valley

A shade-loving evergreen shrub with a compact, round habit. Showy red buds persist from late summer to spring, blooming into abundant, chain-like clusters of white, urn-shaped flowers in spring. Large-flowered, late-blooming variety. New leaves emerge bronze-chartreuse, maturing to rich green. Leaf shape is oblong to lance-like with finely serrated edges. Attracts bees.
