Common Name: Yaku Jima Japanese Silver Grass, Eulalia
An ornamental perennial grass that forms a compact, fountain-like clump. Fine, arching leaves are green. Foliage turns reddish-brown in fall. From mid-summer to frost, tall stalks are topped with copper-red, tassel-like flowerheads that mature to large, fluffy, silvery-white plumes. Like a dwarf version of M. s. 'Gracillimus'.
