Common Name: Scarlet Ribbon Pincushion

An evergreen shrub with a large, rounded form. Leathery, green leaves are spiraled along stems. Large flowers are salmon pink and bright purple-red. Modified styles form a waxy, pincushion-like inflorescence. Blooms at branch tips in winter and spring. Long-lasting cut flower. Prefers acidic soils. Do not use phosphorus fertilizers. More tolerant of varied soils. Hardy to 25 deg F.
