Common Name: Norfolk Island Hibiscus, Queensland White Oak

A fast-growing evergreen with a columnar or pyramidal shape. Oval leaves are olive green with gray-green undersides. In summer and fall, showy hibiscus-like flowers bloom in rose-pink, fading to white, and are followed by brown seed capsules with irritating hairs. Tolerant of coastal conditions. Native to Australia.
