An evergreen perennial that forms a low, upright bush. Slender, gray-green leaves are variegated with thick white margins. Creamy-yellow, green-eyed inflorescences display showy bracts that cup tiny true flowers. Blooms cluster atop stems throughout spring. Attracts butterflies. All plant parts contain a toxic milky sap.
