Botanical Name: Betula nigra 'BNMTF'

Common Name: Dura Heat River Birch

A fast-growing deciduous tree with a pyramidal to rounded growth habit. Exfoliating bark is pinkish-brown in color. Green leaves are small, diamond shaped, and finely toothed. Fall foliage is deep yellow. Small cone-like fruits in the winter. More heat tolerant , compact and resistant to disease and pests than the species.
