Botanical Name: Agave americana

Common Name: Century Plant

A rugged Agave species native to Mexico and the Southwestern United States. Glaucous gray-green leaves are broad and lined with jagged teeth. The needle-sharp terminal spines and overall mature size can make this quite the formidable succulent. Produces offsets as it grows. At the end of its 10 - 30 year life span, a tall inflorescence blooms.
