A deciduous vine with vigorously spreading, climbing tendrils. Broad, lobed leaves turn from green to yellow to brilliant red in fall. Bark is exfoliating and cinnamon-brown. Inconspicuous spring flowers emit a pleasant fragrance and attract bees. Small, edible grapes attract birds and other wildlife. Adaptable with pruning. Native to California and Oregon.
