Common Name: Fragrantissimum Rhododendron
An evergreen shrub with a more compact, upright habit than 'Fragrantissimum.' Early to mid spring bloom. Large, strongly fragrant, funnel-shaped flowers grow in dome-shaped trusses. Flowers are white, blushing pink with wavy petals. Attracts butterflies, bees and hummingbirds. Dark green leaves are elliptic and leathery. Too tender for Northwest California.
