A deciduous fruit tree that produces large persimmons. Fruit is acorn-shaped. Skin is red-orange. Flesh is rich orange, sometimes flecked with brown, and astringent until ripe. When ripe, flesh is very sweet. Pick and store until a softer texture is reached. Freeze and thaw fruit to expedite ripening. Self-fruitful. 200 chill hours. Harvest in November to December. Heavy producer. Foliage has beautiful fall color.
