Common Name: Blackbird Border Penstemon, Beardtongue

A perennial with upright stems, multibranching from the base. A tall, bushy variety. Green leaves are lance-shaped and oppositely arranged. Spikes of tubular, trumpet-shaped flowers are deep bluish burgundy. Long bloom cycle from summer to frost. Attractive to hummingbirds and other pollinators.
