Botanical Name: Luma apiculata

Common Name: Chilean Myrtle, Temu, Soap-Bark Tree

A large evergreen shrub or small tree with a multi-trunking growth habit. Cinnamon-brown bark exfoliates to reveal white underneath. Aromatic, dark green leaves are rounded with acutely pointed tips. Small, white flowers are saucer-shaped with showy brush-like stamens. Blooms in summer. Blue-black fruits follow.
