A perennial shrub that forms a dense bush or hedge. Evergreen in mild winters. Deep purple flowers and silvery-white-green foliage are aromatic. Linear leaves are toothed like L. dentata, though are more broad. Long, dense flower spikes bloom in summer. Attracts birds, bees and butterflies.
