Common Name: Douglas Iris

Native to the California coastline, this evergreen perenial forms clumps of narrow, strappy, grayish-green foliage. In winter and spring, slender stems carry flowers in lavender-blue with interesting white, yellow and blue markings. Thrives near the coast, from southern California all the way up to Oregon. Tolerates inland conditions with a bit more water provided in the summer.
