A semi-evergreen perennial grass that forms a dense, fountain-like clump. Fine-textured leaf blades age from deep blue-green to buff. Tall flower heads age to amber-tan. Flower stalks sometimes tinge silver or pink. Blooms in spring and summer. Native to a wide range of North America, including California. Tolerates some foot traffic.
