A deciduous tree with dark green foliage that turns red to purple in fall. True flowers are tiny and surrounded by large, creamy white petal-like bracts. A profuse bloomer with one of the showiest displays of any dogwood. Nearly sterile, so it bears sparse fruit. A hybrid of C. kousa x C. nuttallii.
