A deciduous tree with a low-branching, upright growth habit. Smaller, glossy, wavy-edged, heart-shaped leaves are pale blue-green to gold. Stunning clusters of dark pink, sweetpea-like flowers bloom on bare branchlets in early spring. Native to Texas and Mexico.
