A handsome ornamental succulent that forms symmetrical rosettes of stiff, leathery, gray-blue-green leaves. Needle-sharp, ruddy brown spines arm the leaf margins and leaf tips. Spreads by suckering offshoots. Mature plants produce tall flower spikes.
