A shrub-like deciduous tree with a broad, weeping form. Lacy, deeply-lobed, palmate leaves are divided into 5 to 9 pointed lobes. Bright green leaves emerge in spring then change to shades of golden-orange with the arrival of fall. Inconspicuous spring flowers are followed by pairs of samaras. Needs slightly acidic soil.
