A low-branching deciduous tree with a notably weeping form. Lacy, deeply-lobed, palmate leaves divide into 5 to 9 pointed lobes. Leaves emerge orange, mature to green, then turn a fiery reddish-orange color in the fall. Inconspicuous spring flowers are followed by pairs of samaras. 'Orangeola' is more heat tolerant than other maples. Needs mildly acidic soil.
